Although Josue said he preferred to keep his conversation with her confidential... he did say that they talked a lot, and she told him to call her Stefani.

The 3rd Annual Punta Sayulita Longboard & SUP Classic will be held on March 9 – 11, 2012 in the Punta Mita area of Sayulita, Mexico, 40 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.
Over the past two years, the Punta Sayulita Classic has developed into one of the premier surfing and stand-up paddle events in North America attracting thousands of spectators and one of the deepest international fields of professional athletes as well as talented amateurs competing head-to-head in longboard and stand-up paddle (“SUP”) surfing contests as well as in an array of exciting offshore SUP distance races. With the generous support of the event’s sponsors, the invitee ambassadors and professional athletes, the event has successfully raised awareness for environmental protection and respect for the world’s oceans and wildlife as well as financially supported the local chapter of The Reef Check Eco-Diver Program and the Punta Sayulita Foundation’s educational and youth development programs.

Punta Mita Surf & Paddle Club:
Meeting at 4:30pm every Friday at Plaza Ollin (Boca Deli). We then head over to the Residents’ Beach Club in Punta Mita to meet a panga that departs at 5:00pm (weather and waves permitting), and head out together to the best break for that day Come join us one of these Fridays, no matter if you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced . The idea is to share in another spectacular sunset surf session and meet more people in our community that share the same passion for catching a few waves!

Hawaiian Surf legend Gerry Lopez in Punta Mita

The first Gerry Lopez Paddle Surf Lifestyle Clinic was held March 14-16, 2011. It combined days on the water perfecting standup paddle surfing techniques alongside surfing legend Gerry Lopez, and evenings featured land lessons coverd technique, equipment, surfing etiquette, water safety. Plus Gerry spoke about the aloha and history of surfing.

The clinic explored water lifestyle with discussions including diet, yoga, longevity and Gerry’s own philosophy. This clinic was the ultimate invitation for those who want to improve their Paddle Surfing alongside one of the greatest surfers of all time.
